GWP Management Impersonation: Scam or Legit?
GWP Management Limited is a genuine DFSA-authorised firm. The websites and trading platform identified in a new DFSA alert are impersonators using the real firm's identity and regulatory details.

The genuine GWP Management Limited is DFSA-authorised, but the DFSA has identified websites and a trading platform that impersonate the firm and misuse its regulatory details.
On September 23, the Dubai Financial Services Authority warned that scammers were impersonating GWP Management Limited, which trades as Gateway Partners.
The scam copies real regulatory details
According to the DFSA alert, the impersonators created the website gwpmanagementltd.com and a separate trading platform at platform.gwpmanagementltd.online. The regulator says the scammers are using GWP Management Limited's name, DIFC address and DFSA reference number without permission.
That combination is exactly why a licence number on a website is not enough to establish legitimacy. A scammer can copy a real firm's public details while directing a customer to a domain, email address or payment path that has nothing to do with the authorised company.
The DFSA says the genuine firm's website is gatewayfund.net and advises the public not to respond to communications connected with the scam or send money to parties associated with it.
The real GWP Management Limited is authorised
The DFSA Public Register lists GWP Management Limited, trading as Gateway Partners, under reference number F003497. The register records a licence date of January 28, 2016 and permissions including arranging deals in investments, advising on financial products and managing assets.
The verdict therefore applies to the impersonation operation, not to the genuine regulated firm.
This is not the first time GWP's identity has been copied
The DFSA issued a separate warning in February 2025 after scammers created a fake firm called Gateway Capitals LLC and a fraudulent website using a similar Gateway identity. That earlier incident also misused the identity of GWP Management Limited.
The 2025 warning is useful pattern evidence, but it should not be treated as proof that the current domains are operated by the same people. The September 2026 alert identifies a new set of impersonating websites and should be assessed as a separate incident unless the regulator links them.
How to verify the firm before sending money
A customer should start with the DFSA Public Register, confirm the firm's exact legal name and reference number, and then compare the contact details and website against the regulator's record or alert. A matching company name or licence number on an unrelated website is not independent verification.
For this case, the evidence is unusually clear: the regulator has identified the impersonating domains and confirmed that they are not connected to GWP Management Limited.
GWP Management Limited was already a genuine DFSA-authorised firm and had previously been impersonated in a separate 2025 scam.
The DFSA has issued a new September 2026 alert identifying fresh impersonating domains that copy the firm's name, address and DFSA reference number.
Watch for domain takedowns, additional regulator warnings, new contact details used by the impersonators or any law-enforcement action tied to the current operation.
What supports this verdict.
Checks and evidence stay linked to the review date.
The DFSA alert identifies the fraudulent domains and confirms that the genuine GWP Management Limited is not connected to them. The DFSA Public Register independently confirms the real firm's authorisation and reference number.
The operating entity and marketed identity are checked as separate records.
Licence and regulator claims are assessed against the evidence available at the checked date.
Claims that could materially change the verdict remain visible rather than disappearing into the conclusion.
Commercial relationships, sponsorships and advertising cannot purchase or alter a Scam or Legit? verdict. The conclusion follows the evidence record.
