E-Community Says It Is Based in ADGM: Scam or Legit?
VERDICT BASIS

ADGM's FSRA says E-Community falsely claims an ADGM presence and has never been authorised, incorporated or commercially licensed there.

A financial-centre address can make an online trading platform look significantly more credible.

That credibility disappears if the financial centre says the company is not actually there.

ADGM's Financial Services Regulatory Authority has issued an alert concerning an entity or purported entity called E-Community.

Our verdict is AVOID.

The platform offers several kinds of trading

According to the FSRA, E-Community's website presents a platform through which users can trade stocks, cryptocurrencies, commodities, currencies, indices and contracts for difference.

Potential investors, including people in the UAE, are able to sign up for trading accounts.

That creates the appearance of a broad online brokerage operation.

The ADGM claim is false, according to the regulator

The FSRA says E-Community falsely claims that it is based in ADGM.

The regulator is concerned that this may cause users to believe E-Community is licensed and authorised to operate from the financial centre.

It is not.

There are two different checks and E-Community fails both

Financial-services permission and company incorporation are separate questions.

The FSRA says E-Community has never been granted Financial Services Permission to carry on a regulated activity in or from ADGM.

It also says the entity has never been incorporated in ADGM or licensed there to conduct commercial activity.

That means this is not a situation where a real ADGM company simply lacks one particular financial permission.

A financial-centre name is not a licence

Online trading platforms often emphasise addresses, registration numbers or prestigious jurisdictions because those details can reduce a user's suspicion.

But the relevant record is controlled by the authority, not by the platform making the claim.

For ADGM financial services, the FSRA Public Register can be used to check whether the exact legal entity has permission to perform regulated activities.

Trading more products does not make the platform more regulated

Offering stocks, crypto, currencies and CFDs in one place can make a platform appear sophisticated.

The number of products offered says nothing about whether the operator has permission to offer them.

That question has to be answered independently for the specific entity and jurisdiction.

The scope of the verdict

Arabian Current's AVOID verdict applies to the E-Community entity and website described in the FSRA alert.

The verdict is based on the regulator's statement that E-Community's ADGM claims are false and that the entity has never been authorised or incorporated there.

What Arabian Current is watching

Watch for replacement domains, changes to the claimed jurisdiction, additional regulatory claims or further action by ADGM or other authorities.

A change in branding does not change the verification test: identify the exact legal entity and check the regulator's own record.

WHAT CHANGED
BEFORE

A visitor to E-Community's website could encounter an ADGM claim while being offered access to multiple trading products.

NOW

The FSRA has publicly stated that the entity is neither an authorised financial services firm nor an incorporated ADGM company.

NEXT

Users should avoid the entity identified in the alert and verify any replacement identity or regulatory claim independently through official registers.
